The Kid is back! Für DJ Kid Vincent, dessen Debut-Single „Gu$$i“ allein bereits 2 Millionen mal gestreamt wurde, standen die Zeichen Anfang des Jahres noch auf Durchmarsch. Gerade erst von seinem LangzeitVorbild Timo Mass für seinen letzten Track „Knew Me Better“ (Moonbootique) mit Props bedacht, kam ihm der Corona-Lockdown in die Quere. Seine Resident-Clubs zu, alle Sommer-Festivals abgesagt. Resignation? Keine Option! Stattdessen: Ab ins Studio, schreiben, Ideen sammeln, inspirieren lassen. Und dann läuft da plötzlich diese geile Indie Pop-Hymne im Radio, Watershed von Giant Rooks. Spontane Endorphin-Party! DauerOhrwurm! Nur der Club-Swag fehlte, also fix die Truppe zusammengetrommelt: Chris DiPerri, Bolinger und How To Loot Brazil, selbst allesamt zu temporären Zwangspausen verdonnert, eilten zu Kid ins Studio und zogen die Nummer einmal komplett auf links. Herausgekommen ist ein fetter EDM Track zwischen House und Disco, vollgepumpt mit Adrenalin und positiven SommerFestival-Vibes.

Minden-based DJ Kid Vincent never had that "play it safe"-attitude that whittles down his musical endeavors to a confined space. Whereever he's going he's all ears for any kind of music, regardless of genre or style. His first single, chilled bass banger 'Gu$$i', raked about 2 million streams in passing. His latest joint, tech-house tune 'Knew Me better', released via legendary German label Moonbootique, got him tons of kudos from his long time idol Timo Maas. Yeah, the Kid was ready to go. But 2020 queered his pitch. So he got back to the studio, to produce, write, get inspired. When he took notice of Giant Rooks' Indie Pop hymn "Watershed", he instantly knew he had to round up his squad to bring this track to the dance floors: Chris DiPerri, Bolinger and How To Loot Brazil we're all in as they endure the exact same situation during this cultural lockdown, and together they brought this irresistible disco-house-dance-pop tune to life! The name says it all, "Watershed" is indeed a turning point, and it's all about bringing back the life-affirming, fistclenching rapture to the crowds for this summer - even if they had to dance at home.
